Meet Chef Ken
Chef Ken has over 30 years of experience in the culinary field. His humble beginnings began in Sandford, Maine as a dishwasher at a local family restaurant where he worked his way up to cook and server. A move to Tucson, Arizona, jump-started his formal culinary education. His passion and skill led him to Ivins, Utah, where he became Executive Sous Chef and later Executive Chef at Red Mountain Spa, developing an innovative and healthy spa cuisine program. In 2004, Ken became the Chef de Cuisine at world class Nemacolin Woodlands Resort near Pittsburgh, PA, where he fine-tuned his culinary skills. Moving back to Saint George, Ken was Executive Chef for The Ledges of St. George Golf Club and the Dixie Convention Center.
Over his career, Ken has cooked for Presidents and celebrities and has been featured in magazines including Shape, Metropolitan Home and Muscle & Fitness. He is excited to bring his passion for fine cuisine and is already at work developing exciting menus packed with flavor blended with a nutritional balance to his role as Executive Chef at Ovation at Sienna Hills.
Ken loves exploring new places. He completed the 2013 St. George Half Ironman and is an avid mountain biker and hiker. His love of the outdoors also led him to volunteer at Zion National Park and Kane County Search and Rescue. He loves spending time with his family and hosting cookouts.
